Folks:
This morning, 4/28/06, I mostly poked around Los Gatos Creek. I started
below the Lexington Dam and later saw a single COMMON MERGANSER in flight
over the reservoir. I birded the Aldercroft Heights Road. Here I heard a
couple of WINTER WRENS singing, a PILEATED WOODPECKER calling, and 1-2
PYGMY NUTHATCHES. An OSPREY flew overhead. Along Wrights Station Road I
had more 3+ Pygmy Nuthaches and another Osprey. It was very quiet along
Los Gatos Creek among the magnificent big leaf maples there.
