There was an alternate-plumaged Solitary Sandpiper
at Alviso this morning around 9:10. It was in the channel along the north
side of Grand Blvd about 100 yards west of the railroad crossing. It
wasn't there when I returned along that stretch 45 minutes later, but
there was a male Blue-winged Teal in the flooded fields through the chain link
fence along Disk Dr. at the edge of town, at the bend in the road where the
utility towers are near the road.
