A male Lazuli Bunting in perfect breeding plumage spent about an hour
at our feeding station in Menlo Park yesterday (10th) afternoon.
Surprisingly, the crowned sparrows are still here in large numbers, all
the males in brighter adult plumage than we have ever seen them
previously. Chickadees feeding young in a nest box. A Bewicks Wren
tried to go into the box while the Chickadees were there. The wren fed
on millet throughout the winter.
