On Saturday's SCVAS Field Trip to Almaden Lake/Alamitos Creek a COMMON
LOON was seen in the lake at the beginning of and at the end of the trip.
Frank Vanslager called me and I saw the bird at about 1:15 as it actively fed
(that is it was only on the surface about a third of the time).
