SBBers:
Having an errand in Almaden this afternoon, I
stopped by Guadalupe Oak Grove and found at least 3 of the CHIPPING SPARROWs
reported earlier today. There was a lot of traffic in the vicinity so they
didn't stay in one spot long. I initially saw two on the
fence. One flew into a tree and then two foraged on the
playground for a few minutes before flying out of
view.
I wasn't able to post earlier some sightings I had
this past week. Friday, March 31st a vocal WARBLING VIREO and a
female oriole (only a fleeting glimpse) were at McClellan Ranch Park.
Saturday, April 1st in Stevens Creek CP there were several WARBLING VIREOs and a
WILSON'S WARBLER in the Chestnut Picnic Area. In a nearby field was an
adult male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD, a female Selasphorus Hummingbird and
about 20 TOWNSEND'S WARBLERs.
