Good morning all,
This sighting is from yesterday, March 13: The previously posted
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW appeared in my back yard (Palo Alto) again, looking
even more spiffy than last time (February 24).
While I'm here, some recent Stanford Campus sightings/hearings: Singing
PURPLE FINCH, including the "laughing" Hee Hee HeeHeeHee" vocalizations;
regular sightings of WESTERN BLUEBIRD along Serra Street; a singing
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER; and an occasional WESTERN TANAGER. Multiple
DARK-EYED-JUNCO sightings in low growing shrubbery seems to indicate they
are gearing up for nesting.
Cheers!
Kay Partelow
