Hi Birders-
I was at the EEC in Alviso today hoping for a Glaucous Gull. Most gulls were way out in the marsh, too far to tell. From the levee, where it is closed off at the boardwalk ramp, I noticed some swimming white birds on the pond way down along the levee opposite the far end of the second island. They were clearly not swans or pelicans and didn't seem as big as domestic geese (like the flock at SWPCP). They didn't have much neck, but they were probably keeping low and near the levee to shelter from the south wind. The wind made it impossible to get a steady view at that distance, but I assume they are Snow Geese.
