Good evening all....
Today I watched a male Junco feeding a chick in my atrium....the chick
still had a large yellow gape, three wispy feathers on its head and it's tail
was about 1/2 inch long (all and all the chick was about 2 inches
long)....tonight, i opened the wood front door of the atrium to let the chick
out....it kept flying into my glass front door... even now as I write this hear
the adult Junco calling .....what a little cutie...
I have had only two female Black-headed Grosbeaks on and off at my
feeders....lots of Cowbirds, Red-winged Blackbirds at my feeders. The big
surprise and addition to my yard list was a Band-tailed Pigeon sitting on top of
the feeder pole!
Wishing you all good counts tomorrow!
My best regards,
Linda Sullivan
