All: This morning, Monday, July 3, I did some bicycling out of the Sunnyvale Sewage Treatment Facility. Heading east along the southern edge of salt pond A4, I re-found 3 of the Burrowing Owl family near the eastern end of the fence. Many Caspian Terns were in evidence. Later, near the algae mat at the northeast corner of the West Pond, I found 4 Wilson’s Phalaropes. They appeared to be males transitioning into winter plumage, but the birds were skittish and I couldn't get them in the right lighting; although I had multiple sightings, it was hard to be sure with only binos.
