[SBB] River Oaks Coopers' Hawk

At different times during the day I can hear the
Coopers Hawk juvie calling. Not the incessant "feed
me", but softer. Today at lunch I tried to track it
down by ear, hoping to confirm that it was a juvie.
Chased it from tree to tree, never seeing more than a
large dark shadow moving out of the corner of my eye.
It crossed Seeley Ave. over onto Cadence property.
As I circled around the tree, it just took off and
went back towards the original spot! (I needed the
walk anyway).

Noticed a nest on the building (685 River Oaks), which
I suspect belonged to a Black Phoebe that was always
in front of the building. After one weekend, both
BLPh
disappeared--I think they might have been lunch for
the Coopers' Hawks.

Had better luck with a pair of Juncos who landed about
six feet away and chased each other around a tree
trunk.
