I love watching babies of almost any kind. Baby warthogs are really cute
-- too bad they become adults. Baby squirrels chasing each other around
& around a tree -- around, around, around...
Baby jay in my back yard begging for food -- shake, shake, shake his/her
wings; make funny, almost-jay squawks; learn to fly to the peanuts; learn
to *eat* the peanuts. Lots of fun.
Bird on!

Two
Cooper's Hawk juveniles have left fledged six houses from my home in
Mountain View. All day and evening the air is filled with with
their calls. Yesterday I watched one awkwardly attempt to approach
a gray squirrel that was quickly circling and descending a power
pole. It was amusing to watch the uncoordinated approaches made by
the juvenile as the squirrel streaked out of sight. Dotty
