[SBB] Cattle Egret - Lake Almaden , 6/8/06

I know it's out of place and habitat, but there it was anyway, a
CATTLE EGRET on the island used as a breeding area for Great and
Snowy Egrets, Green Herons, and Black-crowned Night-Herons. In clear
breeding plumage on the head, back, and sides, it walked a bit on the
beach until scared off by green herons(never seen so many at one time
before). It also perched up in the bushes for awhile.
