[SBB] Charles Slough, Adobe Creek, CC Forebay

On the last day of January, Ken Cassel and I birded the Coast Casey
Forebay, Charleston Slough, and Adobe Creek(We did not look at salt
pond A1 or Shoreline Lake). We saw 39 birds, most of them expected
for this time of year, but fun nonetheless.

A Common Yellowthroat jumped around in a bush next to the path in
plain view and then joined us as we moved farther along by flying to
the next bush. A pair of Bufflehead were actually diving in the
Forebay the water was so deep. A juvenile Northern Harrier landed on
a post at the observation platform too close to focus on with a
scope. And, a male Ring-Necked Pheasant in full colors walked around
in full sun for 5-10 minutes as we studied his plumage.

I'm not sure I understand why the Forebay was so full of water while
the creek and the slough were at low tide.
