There were two Burrowing Owls on the same mound this afternoon. I saw a Peregrine Falcon as I drove into Shoreline Park, but by the time I walked to where it was, it was gone. On the way, I saw a Say's Phoebe perched on a post and an accipter flying by. I'm not sure if it's a Cooper's Hawk or Sharp-shinned:

This morning, 1/23/06, at Shoreline Lake, I was only able to find a male
and female BARROW'S GOLDENEYE. Both were in the northwest corner. A
female/immature RED-BREASTED MERGANSER was also here. I saw one BURROWING
OWL in the mound across from Michaels.
Charleston Road marsh had a GREEN HERON and a female/immature MERLIN.
