I saw a GREEN HERON last week at the tiny ponds at the entrance to
the housing development adjacent to the Gate of Heaven entrance
(there's a new trail that goes from there to the lower RSA parking
lot, though it's currently closed). Probably the same heron.
Didn't stick around long enough to let me get a good look (or a photo).
I doubt the fishing is very good in those shallow ten-foot-wide ponds.
