[SBB] The fate of escapees

Yesterday while watching the AMERICAN CROW show (that I have written
previously about) at 5PM at Edward P Charmichael park on Benton St. in
Santa Clara, I saw a smaller, bluish bird with a long tail land in tree
hotly pursued by 10 AMERICAN CROWS. From its overall shape I suspect it
was a BUDGERIGAR though I did not have my bins with with.

One of the crows lunged at the bird which took off with a somewhat
feeble flight, followed by the rest of the 9 crows. It landed in another
tree followed by the crows and the same thing happended again twice
before they went out of view.

It was a complete mismatch and in my anthropomorphic view, it looked
like the crows were toying with it. There was no attempt to peck the
bird. Don't know if they decided to make a meal out it later - they
easily could have.
