Hi folks,
Here are the avian highlights from a quick visit to
Ogier Ponds in Morgan Hill between 12 PM and 1 PM,
by Vivek Tiwari and myself.
We were unable to locate the immature Glaucous Gull
among
the several hundred gulls sitting on one of the ponds
and the hundreds swarming high overhead.
We also could not find any Redheads.
But we did see other good birds:
Hooded Merganser - 2 males, 2 females
Common Merganser - many
Golden Eagle - 1 soaring overhead
Osprey - 1 posing nicely for photos
Tree Swallow - 1
The Hooded Mergansers were in the last pond to the
left
of the road, just before the model airplane field.
