[SBB] Rock Wren Guadalupe Reservoir

Maybe other people have seen them here, but I was surprised to find a ROCK WREN on the dam at Guadalupe Reservoir this morning.  It was foraging for bugs within the cement cracks. A SPOTTED SANDPIPER was below working the shore line.

At the Sierra Azul parking lot above the reservoir we watched a large, mixed flock of BUSHTIT, TOWNSEND'S WARBLERS, RUBY CROWNED KINGLETS, HUTTON'S VIREO's and OAK TITMICE.  It was an eventful bathroom stop.

Almaden Reservoir had much less water in it today than last weekend but the WOOD DUCKS, COMMON GOLDENEYE, COMMON MERGANSERS, BELTED KINGFISHER, WILSON's SNIPE, BUFFLEHEAD and SPOTTED SANDPIPERS did not seem to care.

Unfortunately we could not find much at the Calero Reservoir, but we did have some great action as the RED SHOULDERED HAWKS were quite vocal and moving about near the barn.

Anderson Reservoir allowed for fantastic views of a BOBCAT walking down the road with a ground squirrel in its jaws. We also had a MERLIN here.  Although we could not locate any Bald Eagles today, we had a great view of a GOLDEN EAGLE west of the dam.
