Re: [SBB] cooperative Black Rail

Hi all,

The BLACK RAIL remained on the canoe, under the nature center, until at
least 5:00pm when most of us diehards departed due to diminishing light,
cold, various levels of fatigue and fellings of considerable satisfaction.
I was following about 30 feet behind Mike when he spotted the black rail at
12:20pm so some of us had this same black rail under close observation for
4 hours and 40 minutes! Is that some kind of a record? I know, get a life.

Although the tide had receded considerably, exposing a lot of habitat to
hide in, the black rail elected to stay on the canoe. He was probally
waiting for dark to feel safe enough to venture back into the pickle weed.
