All,
At about 10:45 this morning I finally got good views of the
NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH in the Charleston Road marsh. I was in the process of
explaining the chip call to a photographer, mimicking the call, when it suddenly
perched in a small bare tree near us (calling and dipping, of course).
The NOWA flew in from the east and then after about a minute flew perhaps
150 yards further west and out of sight (lost it behind a tree). The
photographer was able to take several photographs. Location of the
small bare tree is near the Par Course #7, Step Up sign on the
other side of the open water. This is perhaps 100 yards west of where Dean
Manley saw the bird yesterday at about the same time.
Take care,
Bob
