Folks:
I made some stops this morning, 2/2/06, at a few bay side locations. At
the Palo Alto Baylands, the male EURASIAN WIGEON continues in the portion
of the estuary across from the ranger station. Driving in and out of
Shoreline Lake's east side, I saw two BURROWING OWLS; once in separate
mounds and once together. The adult GOLDEN EAGLE continues to use one of
the transmission towers along the maintenance road. In past years it has
occasionally preyed on Am. Coots, but I've not seen it take any this winter.
