The Calero-Morgan Hill CBC took place on Saturday, Dec 30, under clear
skies - and low water levels at our inland reservoirs. While still waiting
for some final reports to come in, we currently stand at an unofficial total of

Here is a listing of our unusual birds and numbers.
Birds designated by caps are new for this count.

Cackling Goose
BLUE-WINGED TEAL
Bald Eagle (one at Anderson Reservoir)
Ferruginous Hawk (at least 3 noted)
Prairie Falcon
American Avocet

Owls: Barn Owl, W. Screech Owl, Great Horned Owl, N. Pygmy-Owl, Burrowing

Varied Thrush - numbers are the highlights here with several parties
reporting them and Mike Rogers finding over 550 alone in the eastern Diablo

Many thanks to all who took part on this year's count, and hope to see you
again on the 2007 count.
