Birders-
Saw Rich's report and decided I might as well see him (the bird) at least once more this year. Got to Ed Levin Park at 2 pm and no bird. After 20 minutes a Nutall's Woodpecker appeared in the tamarisks. I thought this might stir up the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and it did. As Matt Dodder mentioned a few days ago it does seem to be developling a dark bib. And it was, at times, quite yellow underneath. This was my eleventh sighting in 14 attempts. Hope it still there in three days. The recent storm knocked over a 40-foot tamarisk branch/trunk which smashed throught the wooden fence. In trees along the fenceline behind the corral there was a Hairy Woodpecker.
