Folks:
This morning, 12/11/06, I checked the Geng Road pond and Shoreline
Lake. A single female/immature HOODED MERGANSER was again at the
Geng Road pond. At Shoreline Lake, I saw two male BARROW'S
GOLDENEYES in the northwest corner. I didn't see any certain
females, but I was scoping from the Lakeside Cafe. There were five
adult and an immature BROWN PELICAN on the lake. Since my last check
of the lake on 12/6, there has been a significant increase in
Canvasbacks, scaup, Surf Scoters, Common Goldeneyes, and
Double-crested Cormorants--perhaps, the recent "storm" or high surf
has had an effect.
