South Bay Birders,
This afternoon at the Coyote Creek Golf Course along Highway 101 south of
San Jose, 2 adult Ross's Geese, 1 imm. Greater White-fronted Goose, and 10
Cackling Geese were with 160 Canada Geese near the clubhouse. Two
Great-tailed Grackles (male and female) were near the dumpsters, and a
light-morph Rough-legged Hawk flew fairly low over the golf course before
heading west over Coyote Creek.
This morning in the San Martin area, an imm. Ferruginous Hawk was along
Sycamore Avenue just northwest of East San Martin Avenue, and 81 Eurasian
Collared-Doves were scattered from East San Martin Avenue north to Maple
Avenue, east of 101.
