All,
This morning 12/6/06, I birded Stevens Creek north of Highway 101 from
just south of L'Avenida to the Crittenden Lane bridge. The hatch-year
female BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER continues at the same location near
the north end of the Moffett housing, where I first saw her on 10/6/06.
An ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was just north of the creek crossover, and 2
TOWNSEND'S WARBLERS, 3 COMMON YELLOWTHROATS, and many YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLERS rounded out a five-warbler morning. A HOUSE WREN was still
present near the Crittenden Lane bridge, where at least one has been
present since September.
Other highlights included a male MERLIN, a GREEN HERON, and an OAK TITMOUSE.
