I returned today, 5 Dec 06, to the Palo Alto Baylands and immediately went out to the outflow channel adjacent to the airport, where I found Bob Reiling and Frank Vanslager already ensconced at the Swamp Sparrow location. A couple hours of searching produced no sparrow. I was, however, able to point out the BRANT flying by with a group of CANADA GEESE, heading in the direction of the Duck Pond or Byxbee Park. On the way out I had 5 swallows fly by, with the ones I could get on being TREES.
