Hi All,
Sorry about the misleading title of my last post
from 'MB05' - I inadvertently left my working title on it when I sent it. I had
been fairly sure of a WIFL ID on those "little flycatchers" before sending an
inquiry and description to others with more expertise, who advised caution
regarding a possible confusion between Willow Flycatcher and juvenile W.
Wood-pewee. The birds certainly looked like WIFL to me, but at a middle
distance, a couple of crucial field marks were just not solid enough, and the
habitat was a mismatch. SO disregard the flycatchers, please. As I told Mike R.,
I guess those birds just have to get dumped into the Coulda Bin. All the rest is
for real. --Garth
