This morning Roland Kenner and I started birding at Sunnyvale Baylands Park
and continued from there around Harvey Marsh. In the large cottonwood trees
in Sunnyvale Baylands Park we saw two PACIFIC SLOPE FLYCATCHERS, a WILSON'S
WARBLER, and a YELLOW WARBLER. On the levee around the Waterbird Pond,
there were several AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS and about 10 CASPIAN TERNS. In
Harvey Marsh we saw a SORA and the usual suspects including a few hundred
DOWITCHERS. In the trees near the marsh we saw a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE,
several BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS, and a WILLOW FLYCATCHER.
Take care.
