I stopped at New Chicago Marsh and the EEC in Alviso
today, 18 Aug 06. Nothing unusual was around, but I
did have 40 BROWN PELICANS on salt pond A16 and 17
CASPIAN TERNS (including 2 juveniles) on the island in
front of the EEC.
The impoundment north of the Alviso Marina had only 2
SNOWY PLOVERS today, both of them well-flighted and
moving around quite a bit. One was an adult female,
the other unaged. Salt pond A13 had approximately 3000
RED-NECKED PHALAROPES.
