All,
Harvey Marsh (also known as Calabazas Marsh) is located between Calabazas
Creek and San Thomas Aquino Creek north of Hwy 237. There are several ways
to get to the marsh: one is to go to the far eastern edge of Sunnyvale
Baylands Park, that's where Calabazas Creek is) then cross over the creek
and turn left (the northern part is the best), another way is to turn right
on Great America Pkwy from Hwy 237, right on Old Mountain View Alviso Rd (2nd
stop light) park near the first creek overpass (San Thomas Aquino Creek) and
walk north along the west side of the creek under Hwy 237 and then on around the
marsh, the way we went was to park behind a building on the north side
of the street after passing over the 2nd Creek overpass (Calabazas Creek)
and then walked north on the west side of the creek, crossed the creek after
passing under Hwy 237 and went north along the marsh (this is the shortest
way). I should have noted that they are working on the west
dike (road) of the marsh and that road will be closed for a few
days.
Take care,
Bob Reiling
