Good afternoon all......
The Black-headed Grosbeak continues at my feeder along with the Purple
Finch. The Oak Titmice are still going in and out of the nesting
box. Spotted Towhee daily along with a pair of Bewick's and Nuttall's at
the feeders!
Just to let everyone know....that Sunday, April 9th, the Salute to Vasona's
Great Blue Heron Day has been moved to Sunday, April 23 from 11 - 2PM....Due to
the rain, the herons are behind in their nesting. I did meet Juliana from SFBBO
today at Vasona. We could hear the chicks but could not see them. Only
four herons were present on nests... Los Gatos creek is at its highest point
.....looks like it could go over its bank very soon, the water was rushing
by. Not good for the herons to fish in....
