I saw a female common merganser hanging out with a group of mallards in
San Tomas Aquino Creek at 7:30AM this morning. I haven't seen
mergansers here before. The location was behind Great America, between
Mission College and Tasman.
Otherwise the birds were all among the usual suspects this morning. I
did not see the kingfisher that I was seeing there a couple months ago.
