Santa Clara County Parks has developed more detailed plans for
recreational development at 9 locations along Coyote Creek.  Follow
directions below to get to the Coyote Creek Master Plan webpage.  On
that webpage, you'll find a link to a pdf file of maps of proposed
development (Area Plans - March 16, 2006) and a flyer containing
directions to two upcoming public meetings (March 2006 Newsletter), one
in Morgan Hill on Wednesday evening the 22nd and another in San Jose on
Wednesday evening the 29th.  

One of the areas for proposed park development is called the Perry's
Hill Recreation Area; this is the area between the Ogier Ponds and 101.
This area near 101 could include an equestrian staging area, visitor
center, education/interpretive center, multiple use area and regional
swim center with space for 400 cars.

There are two public meetings where you can express your opinion on the
type and extent of parks development along Coyote Creek.  County Parks
would welcome input from birders, in addition to the regular input it
already receives from other recreational users.

Integrated Master Plan now appear on the Coyote Creek Master Plan
webpage of
the County Parks Department's website: www.parkhere.org. If you wish,

may download them and review them prior to our two public workshops on
March
22 and 29, 2006.  If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like
to
comment, please submit your comments to my email address.   More
information
about the meeting dates, times, and locations is also available on the
Coyote Creek Master Plan webpage.
