[SBB] Great-tailed Grackle at Baylands

All,

Mike Mammoser has no email access right now and asked me to post the following summary of birds he saw yesterday afternooon 3/29/06:

GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE - a male all over the Palo Alto Baylands, from the Interpretive Center roof, to the gravel parking lot by the fennel patch, to behind the duck pond, to flying near the Byxby Park Landfill. Other birds at the Baylands included 12 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS incubating nests, 2 injured male NORTHERN PINTAILS at the duck pond, and an immature PEREGRINE FALCON.

29 BLACK SKIMMERS were still at Charleston Slough and 2 FORSTER'S TERNS were at Shoreline Lake.

Two ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS were still at the fennel patch at the southwest corner of the closed Sunnyvale Landfill overlooking the Lockheed ponds.
