This morning we were at the San Antonio end of Shoreline Park looking at
the pond near the small set of bleachers. I took a series of 8 photos of 2
usually shy Common Moorhens showing an interesting behavior which I have
added to my website. What is shown is alternating cycles of displaying,with
elevated tail feathers and upward wing posture,changing to
fighting-chasing. Perhaps someone more experienced than I can tell if it is
courtship or males defending
territories? Tom
