Some weekend birds seen in my neighborhood include a Wilson's Snipe
very close to the trail north of Blossom Hill Rd. White throated
Swift (14), No. Rough winged Swallow (30), Violet Green Swallow (20),
Common Merganser pair, Lincoln's Sparrow (3), Fox Sparrow, Belted
Kingfisher and Osprey along the Guadalupe River trail yesterday.
A Green Heron, Nutmeg Mannikin (3), Ruddy Duck pair, Ring-necked Duck (2
pair), Belted Kingfisher, singing Common Yellowthroat (3), Double crested
Cormorant and Hermit Thrush seen at the water district today.
Some Quicksilver Park birds seen this afternoon were vocal and active
Coopers Hawk pair, a singing Cal. Thrasher, Wrentit pair, W.
Bluebird pair, singing Orange crowned Warbler (4) and calling Huttons
Vireos (4).
Birds Eye Gilia, Cream Cups, Cal. Poppies and Lupine were flowering along
the Senador trail in Quicksilver Park.
