[SBB] Stilt Sandpiper continues in Alviso

All,

At 1 PM today Frank Vanslager and I had the STILT SANDPIPER feeding in the
pond at State St and Spreckles Ave in Alviso (it still has a lot of red in the
tertials). An adult PEREGRINE FALCON was on a power tower just south of the
Environmental Education Center access road and a LESSER YELLOWLEGS was in
the first pond east of the railroad tracks in New Chicago Marsh. Earlier in
the northeast corner of Crittenden Marsh we had four Lesser Yellowlegs (with
four GREATER YELLOWLEGS). We also had a few Warblers along Stevens Creek,
mainly in the vicinity of the "lone" Eucalyptus, including several YELLOW
WARBLERS, a couple YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS (all Audubon's) and at least one
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER. Two to three PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHERS were singing further
upstream while a couple Western Flycatchers were silent (when was a
Cordilleran Flycatcher last seen in the bat area during fall migration) and we had one
juvenile WESTERN WOOD-PEWEE.

Take care,
Bob Reiling
