Hi SBBers,
Tuesday morning provided Janet and I our first of the fall,
backyard White-crowned Sparrow and three Yellow
Warblers.
Two of the Yellow Warblers were using the birdbaths and
the other was foraging in the maple tree. All three were here
at the same time. (A mini-fallout of sorts.) This was
better than Alum Rock Park yesterday.
It seems that Friday, Sept 16 was the final day the
neighborhood Hooded Orioles made an appearance at our
sugarwater feeders. We haven't seen any since then and they
were regular, daily visitors prior to that date. I believe there
was only one around the final week or so because we never
saw more than one at a time.
I'll post any further appearances of orioles, if any show up.
