Good afternoon all...
After reading Mike's post I decided to try for the Parrots around 3:00PM
today...as luck would have it when I arrived at the Orchard Supply Store all was
quiet...so I went inside and looked at plants and when I was walking to my
car I heard this unbelievable ruckus... lo and behold...one Parrot (big
bird!) with a red crown was chasing a bird with a blue crown....then two more
bird joined in..another with a red crown and one all green....they flew over El
Camino and I lost them...sitting in my car waiting for them to return.....when
all of a sudden this racket in the sky....jumped out to see 25-30+ Parrots
screaming and flying over towards Toys-R-Us....couldn't refind them...but will
definitely go back to see them again....
Wishing you all good birding and my best regards,
Linda Sullivan

I have independently discovered another reliable small flock of about 12
Mitered Parakeets (mentioned below) in Sunnyvale on several un-dated
afternoon visits up to about a month ago in the trees around the apartments
opposite the south side of Orchard Supply Hardware on Mathilda Avenue south
of El Camino Real.
