[SBB] Plumbeous Vireo at CCFS and White-throated Sparrow at Sunnyvale Baylands 10/29

All,

Early this morning John W (Walden?, sorry) and I had the softly calling
PLUMBEOUS VIREO from just north of net lane 9550 (west side of the trail) to net
lane 9515 (where it goes under the trees). The bird was continuing to call
and was heading north with a small flock when last seen at about 8:50. This
was a life bird for me and was Santa Clara County life bird number 327 (#451
for Calif). I then re-found the heavily streaked first winter WHITE-THROATED
SPARROW on the edge of a trail north of the grassy knolls in Sunnyvale
Baylands Park. Park near the garden (left from the entrance kiosk), walk about
half way up the paved road toward the east (50-100 feet east of the edge of the
parking lot) and scan the sparrows under the trees and at the edge of the
weedy spots along the gravel trails. The birds are skittish and will flush at
almost any motion, the Crowned sparrows will fly to the trees nearby while the
WTSP (and LINCOLN'S SPARROWS) will flush into the weeds.

Good luck,
Bob Reiling
