All,
I finally managed to make another quick check of Stevens Creek north of
highway 101 on the way into work this morning - it's been over two weeks
since I've had time to check this area.
Migration is tailing off, but I still managed to find 2+ "WESTERN"
FLYCATCHERS (all silent), 3 HOUSE WRENS, and 4+ YELLOW WARBLERS (most of
these birds were near the lone eucalyptus south of Crittenden Lane).
There are lots of SPARROWS now, including 3 FOX SPARROWS singing their
full song out in the open. Also lots of wintering birds/late migrants
such as RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET, HERMIT THRUSH, and YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER.
