Spent a hour and a half at mid-day looking for the Canada Warbler;
apparently other birders were there before me with no luck, either. Did see
lots of Yellow-rumped warblers. One ORANGE CROWNED WARBLER, 1 PACIFIC SLOPE
FLYCATCHER. There were 3 swallows overhead when I first arrived, that were
not Barn swallows and looked like Tree or Violet-Green with white
underparts, but they did not stay long enough to get a really good look at
them. 10 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS on the drive in, by the pumpkin field.
State and Spreckles/entrance to EEC produced nothing unusual.
Jubilee Christian Center
First SAY'S PHOEBE of the year for me in Santa Clara County
2 male RING-NECKED PHEASANTS (and another male across State and Spreckles in
the fenced lot there)
1 BURROWING OWL
2 AMERICAN KESTRELs
1 WESTERN MEADOWLARK
