I got a look at an adult SORA on my lunchtime run at the Sunnyvale WPCP. It
was in a patch of reeds by the North levee near the NW corner of the West
pond. It drew my attention initially by making the odd cascading call I
found later on my California Birdsong CDs. It had a yellow bill, barred
flanks, and flicked its characteristic "rail tail" continually.
