Hi Everyone,
Janet and I walked the creek trail at Alum Rock Park this morning.
In the area of the historic log cabin was a Brown Creeper.
A (or The) Western Screech-Owl was showing it's face from the hole in the leaning sycamore tree near the YSI. I haven't seen it/one there since last winter. (The weather is cooler, the early morning sunlight was hitting the hole/entrance, the day camps are over and the kids are back in school may have all contributed to it showing itself. Either that or we just got lucky.)
Janet spotted our first of fall Varied Thrush near the picnic table overlooking the creek, about 35 yards past the Live Oak group picnic area.
