On Sunday afternoon, 13 Nov 05, I found a FERRUGINOUS HAWK along Richmond
Ave just off Santa Teresa Blvd in north Coyote Valley. This is at least the
third winter that a bird has shown here.
I got to the southeast corner of Calero Reservoir late in the afternoon and
many of the CANADA GEESE were leaving. Later I found a flock in the stubble
field off Santa Teresa and Bailey, where I could pick out about 6 or 7
CACKLING GEESE in with them. A pair of COMMON GOLDENEYES showed at the
reservoir, and 68 WILD TURKEYS were working the hillside near the stables.
