Birders,

Though we never saw the PLUMBEOUS VIREO at Coyote Creek Field Station this morning, we did hear several series of harsh Solitary Vireo-like calls (not the song) coming from the east side of the trail at net 9655. Mixed in with the hundreds of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS and scores of RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS (5 in one small tree) were a few TOWNSEND'S WARBLERS and GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS. On the drive out we stopped to scope a columbarius MERLIN.
