Birders,
Though we never saw the PLUMBEOUS VIREO at Coyote Creek Field Station
this morning, we did hear several series of harsh Solitary Vireo-like
calls (not the song) coming from the east side of the trail at net
9655. Mixed in with the hundreds of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS and scores
of RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS (5 in one small tree) were a few TOWNSEND'S
WARBLERS and GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS. On the drive out we stopped to
scope a columbarius MERLIN.
