I did my loop in Quicksilver Co. Park this morning from the McAbee entrance. A dozen Hermit Thrush seen and more heard. A RUFOUS CROWNED SPARROW was seen again at the junction of Guadalupe and Senador Mine trails. Five White-tailed Kites, 2 juv. Coopers, Red shouldered and Red tailed Hawk pairs and an adult Sharp-shinned Hawk seen today. Cal. Thrasher, Wrentits, 4 No. Flicker, Nuttalls, Hairy and Acorn Woodpeckers also seen. Many Ruby crowned Kinglets in the oaks, one male flashing his red crown in the presence of two others.
As I passed the New Almaden trail on my way out, a pair of GOLDEN EAGLES flew overhead and perched on the north rim. One looked majestic perched on a rock, the other adult on a tree snag. They flew out and back to their perches several times showing their glorious plumage.
Hoping to see them again I went to Guadalupe Oak Grove Park early afternoon. Here I found a Red-breasted Sapsucker and Townsends Warbler, but no GOEA.

I had Am. Goldfinch at my thistle feeder today. A small flock of Cedar Waxwings flew over head and two Hermit Thrush were heard calling from our oak tree.
