[SBB] Brown-headed Cowbirds

There must be an invasion of Brown-headed Cowbirds.
We have had the occasional 2 birds at the feeders the last few days, 
but today I chased off 6.  I guess the first 2 told their buddies 
about the food.  I am worried that they will get into our Thrasher 
and Towhee nests.

On the good side, we have 5 pairs of quail that hang out in our yard, 
at least to eat.  We are looking forward to seeing the babies.  Last 
year they looked like little ping pong balls with legs, yet they 
managed to fly over our fence.
