[SBB] Baylands Friday -- Raven nest, etc

Early morning at Baylands yesterday showed the heron rookery at the duck
pond in full swing; a Black-crowned Night-Heron was ripping branches off
one of the nearby eucalypti and carrying them to the palm trees for a nest:

The adult ravens were taking turns sitting on their nest in the power tower
south of the yacht harbor entrance; here's one of them perched on the edge
(excuse the poor quality -- distant and backlit shot):

Brown-headed cowbirds were in the trees next to the duck pond, scouting out
opportunities:
